Our panel includes Megan Morton, Jasmine Dowling and Karen Brading. Hosted by Chelsea Murphy of Cash Full Stop because Cash. believe positive money conversations lead to financial confidence.
Megan is a stylist, an author and a travel extraordinaire. Megan can make your house feel more like you, but she can also make you feel more like you. Megan is the founder and principal of the School, a beautiful destination to learn hands on skills from masters of their crafts. Life changing classes because they are taught by good people and you also learn alongside great people. Megan has the ability to make atmospheres that make people obscenely happy. Megan has now extended those experiences to include immersive overseas adventures including excursions in Paris, India and Japan. Megan’s career is diverse and she has had the experience of working with many impressive brands and people doing impressive things. You can see Megan’s work in International glossy magazines but she is also the gal who will head to Murphy’s Irish Bar in George Street for bangers and mash if there’s a good band playing. Through travel, her work styling spaces and also being a business owner Megan has the insights of both highs and lows and in this conversation we’ll explore how this has impacted her perspectives and approach to work, life and money.
Jasmine is a graphic designer, typographer and digital content creator. Jasmine unknowingly launched her brand even before finishing uni and since then has continued to evolve her talent and naturally grow her offering as well as her beautiful community of fans. Jasmine has worked with some of the world’s leading brands in fashion, beauty and retail. Jasmine is a natural sharer and she is really proactive with sharing her insights on consumption and purchases (despite being an influencer and receiving many gifted products) as well as the joy and bore of saving. Jasmine is also a leader in initiating conversations about smart ways to approach pricing and finances when you are a creative or freelancer by sharing her own insights and experiences. In this panel we’ll chat about all these things and so much more.
Karen in a Private Banker but she really isn’t a ‘banker’ type. Karen has the experience of working within Australia’s leading financial institutions, but she also has that beautiful blend of numbers thinking as well as creativity. Karen lives on the Sunshine Coast and from our perspective she lives a really beautiful life - she invests her time with good people, creates great relationships, invests in her interests, travels and is generous with her loved ones. Karen is incredibly wise and we’ll be exploring what life experience and years in banking has taught her about what smart people do with their money.
Chelsea is a Co-Founder of Cash. and joined financial planning because she wanted to know what she didn’t know about money. Chelsea is also the Co-Founder of a tech startup, PlayBook, we mention that because that’s been her biggest financial risk to date so will probably come up in the conversation. Chelsea and her husband Keiren are aspiring minimalists while their two young children are lego maximalists.
Join us for a glass of wine and an evening of conversation, insights and laughs about life and life lessons.
$20 from each ticket sale will be donated to the Alannah & Madeline Foundation - The Foundation was set up in memory of Alannah and Madeline Mikac, aged six and three, who were tragically killed with their mother and 32 others at Port Arthur, Tasmania, on 28 April 1996. The Foundation was launched in 1997 and has been operating for more than 20 years. The Alannah & Madeline Foundation's vision is that every child will live in a safe and supportive environment. Our collective donation will support the programs and products that help restore safety, security and dignity to children in need.
